The "Drake" (our hotel) in downtown Chicago. V took this picture of me standing on the sand beach (Lake Michigan) in front of the "Drake". The "John Hancock" building is in the background. It was a beautiful day in July, after a rather cool (temperatures in the 30's) evening.

V sitting in our room at the "Drake". We carried everything in two backpacks for that weekend.

This picture was taken as we boarded the "Odyssey" for our dinner date and cruise on Lake Michigan. I only wish you could see the lights of Chicago after it got dark. V and I danced that night on board the ship.
